The thing over in the UK is Nissan's do not have a great racing heritage, although of course, we do know better.
In the UK, if you say you have a nissan, people will think "micra" (Match in japan) or Skyline (which is no bad thing of course)
People just haven't heard of the 200SX, and thus it has no "image" which is why prices are low. Thats not a bad thing for me of course, but it will when you go to sell one. Most people mistake the S13 for the Ford Probe or MR2 and mistake the S14 for the R33 and S14a for the R34.
Modded cars also don't go for that much extra money, because by doing so, you cut off potential buyers who are looking for a standard car, and also because people will usually want to mod a car themselves, and not buy one modded to the previous owners satisfaction.
One guy on the SXOC is selling his S13, which is believed to be the fastest CA outside of Japan (600 bhp @ the hubs) Its had around 100,000 GBP worth of parts and development put into it, but he's selling it for 25,000 GBP
however, 180SX's imported are worth a fair bit more, and S15's still command prices well over 12,000GBP as they are all imports and there is only about 25 in the counrty
