I haven't read all of the topic, but this is the first thing I noticed. Shahar, if you want some good advice: Don't use the channel EQ knobs at all. Whoever decided to add those in should be, well...you get the idea.

All too many times I see or hear people use them, and they're shelving filters so you generally never want to use them, and certainly not in a digital environment. Get rid of those EQs, and use a good parametric EQ instead (preferably an external one, so you'll have to mix your track down in a dedicated mixing application).
