Well all I can say is here. Public racism apart from a very small minority does not happen in the tradional sence. For example giving someone abuse based upon race. Which is all part of de-normalising racism.

As you say you need to tackle the root causes and the base level ignorance but in the mean time making public rasicm totally unacceptable is progress (it makes peoples lives easier). And the process of fundamental understanding of the irrelavance of race can take place (which will tackle the problems I highlighted before).

EDIT: Just realised I sound like a fucking social worker....... hmmm might need to go out get drunk and beat up some gays to make me feel like a man again

First of all, the quote didn't bother me (it's just that reading about your nuts in a daily basis is quite disturbing and the thought that a bloke is talking about my nuts in every single post). Also, all mods can do is:

• Close/Open/Merge/karate chop threads in the forums we mod
  
• Suspend users (and there's no undo)
  
• Delete/Edit Posts in the forums we mod
  
• Edit sigs
