ill need to listen to the cd to pinpoint it, but its distinct in spots, that you can just hear a kick cut while mixing... it wasnt cancelling

Its nothing that "ruins the cd." If you pay attention to the areas that he is mixing, you should just notice it. Its not to hard.

I remember once I was mixing two copies of the same track to cut the breakdown out, and I cued it just out of whack. You get this really cool delay sound on the beats because the same sound is playing just after itself.

I hadn't listend to this cd in forever, and wow. It is unbelievable. Like I said previously, I never found myself bored or uninterested with any of the tracks and the sound never wore on me. Before Oakenfold goes into the last third of the cd he brings it to a complete standstill. Perfect timing and really gears you up for the last section. I noticed though, while his mixing by no means ruins his mix, it simply seems to be the intro and outro and of every song, which gives the mix a somewhat predictable flow. I like with Sasha and Digweed when I start gradually noticing this sound that transforms into the next track so that you don't know where one song began and the other ends. However, Oakenfolds timing for each song and its place in the mix is perfect. Can somebody recommend some sets from 99 that would be good to get.
