All he does is copy other big artist's styles.
I mean he is ok for a resident (GUV) DJ but that is all he will ever be.
I think DE-KOZE and Kenny have have a chance to break out plus they have an image too! |
IMHO all of the dj's listed are great talents and have made a great contribution to our Toronto Scene. Thank God. I'd hate to think we were dead in the scene like New York City is now.
I'll have to agree with TrickDaddE that Deko-ze and Kenny have enuf talent to break out. Their performances and image sets them apart. I think it's hard for listeners (like Mr politiks himself JayX1 ) to realize the difference...perhaps age and klub experience have a lot to do with the bias in opinions for MO's lead. But those who understand and devote their interest to true dj'g don't share the opinion that MO is the best. And I did see that TrickDaddE wrote "Listen I got nothing against Mark". So I think I can respect his opinion.
And...even though TrickD "asked" How the F**k is Mark Oliver leading the poll?...that does not suggest to me that he is being disrespectul MarkT. It just means that like many others experienced klubbers he is baffled by this vote.
I for one... have been disappointed with MO a few time. and IMO if a dj has a few bad night then that's understandable...but when he has more than a dozen in one year... then he's not on my top list.
I think perhaps we need to agree that we can disagree. And not take things too emotionally to heart.....right MarkT and Shaya007... I mean we don't want a flame war do we
Now about Kenny....I think I wanna hear more of him...now that muzzybear has added a bit more info to my brain. Sounds like a propa guy to meet...I can totally respect da man if he knows how to be one.
Ohhh honourable mention out to miller, blu, M & S and Greg Gow. These dj's got their Shyte together.
