Re: Men and their Momma's

I will give her a hug. She usually kisses me on the cheek.

How often do you talk to your mom?
|
Seems like once every 1 or 2 months - whenever she decides to call me. :/
| quote: |
Are you the protective type? If she's single and dating, do you make sure her significant other passes the test?
|
My mom likes her privacy, I guess. If she's dating someone, she doesn't blab on about it, so I really wouldn't know. I trust her decisions though, and respect her thinking and choosing for herself.

At what age did you stop sleeping in your parents bed?
|
I don't think I ever slept in my parent's bed. Either one. (they divorced when I was 2)
| quote: |
What did you get your mom for Mother's Day?
|
Fuck. When was that?
| quote: |
This came up because I have a guy friend who's mom STILL does his laundry, buys his groceries and once in a while cleans his house. Yes, he lives on his own and is 21 years old. He was an only child, maybe that has something to do with it?
|
I was an only child for a long time. My father remarried and I got a half-sister when I was 7, but I lived with my mom for a long while growing up, so it's pretty much like I'm an only-child. My mom never cleaned my room...or cooked much...or cleaned the house often. She was/is always very busy with her career, so I don't think being an only-child has much to do with it - just the way a child is raised by the parent(s).
| quote: |
Is she your deciding factor in making certain decisions? |
Of course my mother is a deciding factor. Is she the only factor? No way. But if she feels strongly some way or another I will definitely consider what she has to choose/say.

i'm a twerp??
| quote: | haha! I was curious. My friend EXPECTS his mother to do these things. I can kick his pansy ass. It only makes me see what he'll expect of his girlfriends or future wife. And of course, depicting among mommas boys is always fun.
Now that it has been mentioned, I won't feel so bad. I still sleep with my mom occasionally, too. I'm 20 and live at home. Friends and co-workers have wanted me to room with them in the past. I've declined everytime because I couldn't imagine leaving home.
But now, I can feel that 'feeling' of damn, I need to get out of here and get my own place, I'm going stir crazy and need my own space. But everytime it is mentioned, she cries and I end up feeling horrible and then second guess myself, thinking how can I actually leave home in the first place? I am guilty. Plus, alot of people I know, right after H.S. got an apartment w/ friends. Now, they are all living at home as well. Why not save money? especially if you are paying for college? Or is this all a means of telling myself I am okay?
What did you all go through when moving out? |
