An exact moment would be at Area One in Detroit and Oakenfold dropping Suburban Train to close his set. He had played Detroit a few months earlier and he had just gotten Sub Train promo and i think the detroit show was the first time he played it. I remember that D:Fuse and me were jsut going nuts and had never heard it yet. After the set, D asked Oakey what it was and hes just laughed and said it was the new Tiesto.

Fast Forward a few months to the Area One show... i knew he was going to play "this new Tiesto track" and i just waited for it. When it dropped, it was probably my favorite moment not as a DJ in the EDM scene.

I remember that two of the biggest tracks i heard in the beginning that got me started in the EDM genre was Armin's Communication and DJ Tiesto's Sparkles [original mix, but also Magikal Remake]. and i still love those tracks today.

but if i could pick one moment in dance music history it would have to be the first time i heard Max Graham's Airtight. just damn amazing.

The moment Jan Johnston - Flesh 2002 (Tiesto Mix) was made...

or maybe when BT created Flaming June...

it's somewhat of a toss-up

It was probably Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam" that got me into EDM. I was around five when I first heard it.

LOL! me too! I loved that Mortal Kombat song, but at the time didn't understand that I loved a completely new genre in music. That song would play at the credits of the movie and i would watch the credits and rewind them. lmao.

I was listening to oldschool house and such when I was like 10-11 yrs old with my buddy. He had some tapes with recorded mixes of the radio. Then I started to listen to hardcore and shit, but after a while I got the cd Magik Six from my nephew and I really liked it. Then I got "In Search of Sunrise" from that same buddy and I was totally hooked. CD after that was Tiesto @ Innercity 99 and Ferry Corsten @ Innercity (was that also 99? I don't remember).

whats so funny bout that?

Flaming June was the first real trance tune that I heard and loved. But Flesh was the one that did me in. Plus it was one of the first tunes that I heard at a rave while rolling (Paul Oakenfold 2001, IN A WHEREHOUSE!!).

So I would have to say that Flaming June is the classic moment in dance music history and Flesh 2002 is the

OMGIDiiiIIiiieeeEEEeEEE!!!11!!1!!!oneoenon3 ...moment in dance music history.

but I would probably give it to Flesh if I had to choose.
