err...no. Traffic is completely useless and shouldn't have even been engendered.
Listen to Psykofuk - Psykofuk
I have. I like Traffic much more than Psykofuk, and have seen its effect on the dancefloor time and again.
People are entitled to their taste; I'm not saying anyone is 'right' or 'wrong' on this. But it seems such a shame to dislike Traffic given how plain cool of a track it is to experience for so many others.

Fair enough. All the same though, virtually any Tiesto production is bound to have a substantial effect upon the dancefloor; whether it's Traffic or Just Be, people who go to a Tiesto gig often know what to anticipate and dance their tits off whether he's spinning his own stuff or even DJ Sammy, I daresay.

I understand what you're saying, but I really disagree on this one. Traffic has been an exception to that rule in my experience. I've seen the half-hearted enthusiasm of a crowd reacting simply out of recognition value -- Just Be as one of the most pathetic examples -- and it doesn't match the vibe Traffic brings to the floor. The contrast is striking.
In fact, the best reaction I've seen from Traffic occured when PvD spun it in 2003 at Central Park. Funny that the most electrifying track of the Paul-only night was a Tiesto production.
As much as it pains me to admit, this is something I can't objectively prove to you. But others on this board have said as much.

A lot of my friends who don't listen to EDM at all, give special attention to Traffic. Even when I first played the Just Be CD to them two years ago, they made a note of Traffic righ away, so its more then just Tiesto hype. Tiesto knows what people want.
If you look at the tune objectively, then its merits come to show. It exploits the dancefloor atmosphere and mentality, to make a very strong energy builder track.
I've even spun Traffic myself, at parties where 95% of those attending had no idea who made it or what it was called, and it had the same effect. The dancefloor just lights up.

yeah and Darude - Sandstorm always put the dancefloor on fore, or Zombie Nation. Doesn't mean that those tracks are like heavenly.
as a matter of fact both are better than Traffic
oh yeah Silence (Tiesto remix) is very very overrated too.
Lost Vaugueness is not overrated. I would say underrated. Most ASOT-ppl haven't even heard of it, or any other Lieb productions. It's too "deep" for them. Assholes

This is the problem with most people here. It doesn't matter how many people have heard it, it matters how highly rated it is by those who have. And I say there's nothing special about it at all.
By the way... Traffic sold almost nothing outside of Holland.
