I'll just say that Detroit is certainly not the mecca of civilization, and it doesn't sound like you've been in Canada much beyond Windsor which is not very representative of the rest of Canada. Yes, of course I can. The cops were doing their job. They broke up a party that did not have the correct permits and they arrested potential felons who possessed illegal drugs, weapons, and counterfeit money.

Please tell me that you're not saying the two people they had detained on the ground were getting beaten up. Hell, have you ever watched the TV show Cops?? Shit like that happens at least once an episode if not more. What I still haven't seen is some innocent person standing there minding their business and leaving and some jacked up SWAT member running up and taking them down for no apparent reason. Yes, they put those 2 individuals on the ground, but niether you nor I can say for sure what they were doing prior to that.

One thing that I've just noticed is none of the officers on the video had gas masks on. Not one. Yet people keep claiming that they shot tear gas into the crowd. Now wouldn't you think if they were going to start gasing people the officers would get masked up so they wouldn't be effected by any of it??? Just an observation....

Oh, BTW, I'm pretty sure this will have little to no effect on the county tourism unless this is some big raver hot spot that they just started cracking down on.

Your right as far as the country bashing goes, wrong on my travels through Canada. My comments were overly harsh and I only said them to shake up the AmeroBashers, but your level-headedness set me back.
