The first few "getting to know you" weeks when you are just trying to hang out n stuff is the time to play a little hard to get...but after you feel each other out and spend a few good dates together, then I would drop the games. "Games" as in, not answering the phone every single time they call, or accepting a date at 8:00 on a Friday night (umm hello? If they want to hang out with u bad enough, they should call you on Wednesday for that weekend). If you drop plans to hang out with them when they call u at the last minute on a weekend, it makes you look desperate.
I gave off the "I have a really busy schedule with lots of friends, so you better call me early if you want my time" vibe to the guy I'm dating now and it worked like a charm I don't do that any more because we've been hanging out for a while now and we're a little more comfortable and into each other..but like I said, in the beginning it's cool and it usually works!
You just can't over-do it or else they'll get turned off and think you're not interested. The key is to act REALLY into them when you're actually together, but then once you're not hanging out, don't like drop everything for them and call them too much...stay busy. Because then it'll throw them off a bit and they'll think, "hmm, she's not picking up her phone, that's weird. she seemed like she really liked me when we hung out...hmmm, i think i need to see her again and see"
next thing u know, he's calling u again for another date.
