Agreed. Which is why I was never scared of playing the Nationals or Diamondbacks this year, despite every media outlet saying "Look out for those Nats and D-Backs. They are forces to be reckoned with." Looking at those teams, you see they suck. How these sports analysts get these jobs are beyond me. Besides Peter Gammons, no one else knows shit on ESPN.

Contrary to your belief, there is a lot of smart Yankee fans.

obviously...the point was that boston will still take the same approach to the next game and not let an opening loss rattle them..

good Game 1 between Astros and Braves, before the Astros blew it open in the 8th
Braves on their way to losing their 4th game in a row, going back to the sweep by the Marlins in the final weekend of the season

good classic matchup for Game 2 - Clemens vs. Smoltz

White Sox come back from 4-0 deficit to win Game 2, 5-4, and take a 2-0 lead over Red Sox!
One win away from first postseason series win since 1917
Too bad it comes at expense of Tony "Gaffenino", who pulled a Bill Buckner

Hah! The Red Sox not beating the White Sox would be the funniest thing since the Yankees losing the season series to the Devil Rays!!!

Forgot about that.

But yeah... if the Angels can pull out the series against the Yanks, it would be such a funny Post Season.

All of a sudden you would think the post-season wont be boring after-all.

Honestly though, I dont think there is anything worse than going up 3-0 in the ALCS and than loosing 4 straight games - its so bad that its never happened in any sports history.

Yanks might be the 'winningest' team in sports history, but they also hold the worst loss in sports history.

I think the 1942 Detroit Red Wings collapse against the Toronto Maple Leafs had to be the worst series collapse in the history of sports since that happened the Stanley Cup finals.

Also, this year, AC Milan, up 3-0 in the champions league game, gave up 3 goals in 6 minutes to Liverpool in the 2nd half and then lost in penalty kicks has to be slightly worse than collapsing from a 3-0 ALCS Series lead IMO
