but honestly there's nothing "progressive" about this.
it sounds like every other trance song out there.
i almost fell asleep to it.

word... i mean... i actually agree with other people in saying the kick and bassline are really weak. this was made prior to when we knew how to mixdown, eq, and master properly so the low end is really missing.
i still really like this track a lot. because i was classicaly trained, we really paid attention to the melodies and how they all mixed with each other. i also really liked how the track kept changing throughout the track instead of it have a simple riff that builds up and repeats. the track moves from one point to another and in the end they all sorta come together.
this never saw a release mainly cuz labels didn't like how there was a lack of a fat kick/bassline. a couple wanted us to do a re-work and get it back to them... but after this was done, my co-producer and i couldnt' find the time to update it. hopefully we'll be able to fix it up and get it released sometime in the future.
anyways... speactra sending u a pm now w/ a link...

hey thanks guys for bringing this thread back to life.. haha. i wouldn't say its exactly progressive as in progressive house where you really feel the layers coming in methodically, but it doesn't have that epic feel as someone pointed out. we were more or less trying to write a piece of music as opposed to writing a repeatable hook.
tim-g: yea... we did take the sample from enigma. we thought it fit pretty well with the whole feel of the track. you're one of the few to notice that... =).
