couldnt believe this when i heard yesterday. eddie was the ultimate. his matches were always exciting and he was always willing to go the extra, to take that extra risk to entertain. whether as a heel or face he was always one of the most entertaining and charismatic wrestlers ever. a true legend who will be greatly missed. 2 days ago i was so excited cos he was gonna win the title and be the champ when i go to sheffield next week and now i'll never get another chance to see him perform.
RIP |
his last match summed up everything that made him entertaining, with Ken Kennedy, cheating the ref into thinking that kennedy had hit him with the chair and then taking a beating from "mr kennedy" afterwards. to be honest im still in shock, cos its not as if he was old or anything, 38 is no age at all

Honestly, how could it not have anything to do with drugs? You don't just drop dead at 38...my guess is steroids. Back in WCW he was pretty much a cruiserweight running around with all the flying latinos...But fuck, I saw him at the gym near my house a few months ago when they were in Montreal for an event, and I couldn't believe how massive he was, he had to have been on the juice.
Very curious as to his actual cause of death, I hope they eventually let us know. |
when he came off the painkillers & booze he filled his life with the gym & eating, he built hismelf up so he could be a main eventer, and it worked, he won the title, obv we dunno if he had help in doing so but the autopsy will show

His feud with Malenko in ECW is legendary and will never be forgotten.

Thank you Eddie for all those years of fantastic matches-- whether you wrestled in front of a few hundred or many thousand, you always gave it your 100 percent.
