I am totallt not surprised that this dumb bitch slammed on her brakes....My parents live at Steeles & Warden area & I take my life into my hands everytime I go to visit them .I usually stay far enough away from the ass of these dumbasses JUST in case that they brake at the very HINT that the light changes yellow .The main thing though is that you are ok

huh? how is that supposed to help me? I hit the lady from behind and even if I call it in first I'm still responsible and will be penalized from my insurance company!

Are you on drugs, Malek, cuz normally you make sense...

agh. did yo call the cops for the hit and run?

no? good luck buddy.

cause if you get a visit by the cops about a hit and run, you're in deep shit, its a criminal offence, Canadian jail for you.

Malek, I beg you...please give me a plausible suggestion about how to explain the massive dent on the front of my car as a "hit and run" where I am NOT at fault...

Contacting the Collision Centre when I AM AT FAULT means I get screwed. I'm sure you realize it means NOTHING beneficial for ME if that lady ran away AFTER I hit her!!!! Is it only me that sees that?

Furthermore, if I wait, there are only two scenarios:
1) Worst case - the woman taddle-tales and I get contacted by my insurance co./MTO collision centre. In that case, I will try my luck with making up a story, but only because I am FORCED to.
2) Best case - nothing happens, and I'm only stuck with a dent in my WALLET.

P.S. Nice sig! *quelle honeur*

man you must be drunk. Its not about fault here, its about HER CLAIMING YOU DID HIT HER AND RAN AWAY. You will get in deep shit.

Its obviously your fault, but by calling the cops first (which might be too late now) you avoid being dragged in justice.

"getting dragged into justice" in this case doesn't mean jail time at all. It means that I would need to report the collision (if I am contacted to do so), and possible involvement of my insurance company WHICH I AM TRYING TO AVOID!!! If that is my goal, why would I initiate any contact?!

If contacted and asked why I didn't report the collision, I tell them the truth: that the lady, after inspecting her damage, insisted that we can go our own ways and drove off without asking me for any of my information.

It would be totally reasonable under those circumstances for me to go straight to a shop to get my car fixed as I shouldn't be driving a car around in that condition.

I don't see any negative aspects to that.

(and yes I am drunk right now hehehehehe...mmmmm virgin mike's hard lemonade)

you have to report this.

definitely.

no question.

there is no fault insurance in ontario.

actually any shop that you bring it will want you to report it and i think they might have to by law.

Not true.

And for millionth time, yes, I understand no-fault insurance, but I'm trying to AVOID this claim!!! By not reporting it, I *hope* to avoid this claim.

Let's see if I get lucky...

oh--ok. As our buddy ChemEnhanced (from the insurance industry) mentioned, most insurance companies receive the voluntary collision reports from the collision centres (which is connected to the police).

Therefore, if Fahad report-y, Fahad pay-y.
