If he's so confident its such a good idea why is he asking us? Drop out, get a GED and get a BA. Its not like its going to effect our lives. Best of luck!

Oh Sunny, just stay in school. If you quit high school now, imagine how harder it will be to confront bigger obstacles later in life such as owning a home (or apartment), having a family, and other trials and tribulations you may encounter. Are you going to quit everytime something tough comes along? I hope not.

If you find high school hard in the academic part then go to tutoring. Schedule regular appointments with your teacher, spend less time on TA, and study more. But if you find high school a bummer because of social problems then find new friends. If your current friends are downers and suck at life, then chances are some of that suck-i-ness may have rubbed off on you and if you're not strong enough to resist this negativity mentally then you might have contracted -teh suck. Seriously, surround yourself with positive and successful people and don't let petty things like high school get in the way of your success (or coming out your shell, lol). A final reason to stay in school, which you'll notice, is that the majority of high paying jobs require a college education. Duh.

I found my sophomore year the hardest of them all. I got in lots of trouble...though I did ALL of my homework (I'm talking about like maybe less than 5 missed assignments all year) and ALL of my classwork. Though I still failed some classes and just barley passed the 10th grade at the end of the year. After 10th, it's smooth sailing from there.

He just has to put pn his resume that he did 4 years of high school & graduated. Employers barely ever check for a HS Diploma.

I'm probably really late in posting in this thread but I say if you want to drop out do it. I dropped out of college and I'm doing far better than people who have got their college or uni education.

I know cos I interview people like this every day!

do what you want. or be a sparky and move to australia and charge what you want

Depends on who you are, or if you even know yet. It took exposure to college life and college-level social mixing for me to properly come out of my shell. These four years of college (almost over :-( ) changed my life. Just stating my case, don't really know if it helps you in anyway m8. Good luck though. :-)
