I cannot see how trance is dyeing. Ive been listening to it for years (pre-1998) and its more popular now then ive ever noticed it. There wont be a day when Armin or Matt Darey spins in LA and it wont be a packed house. As long as we keep supporting the venues they spin at and support their music, nothing will change imo. The crowds are getting older tho, which changes things, but new comers are always joining as the old timers leave. It balances itself.

Big names will pack clubs everywhere. Its the generic nights with local dj's only which is the real litmus test of the populaaity (in my opinion)

I don't think of trance as dying or dead.

I think of trance as like that neighbour you once had who was really cool, invited you over to watch the game on his big screen tv, traded war stories with, shared barbecues in the backyard and everything.

And then in 1997 he decided to go traveling around the world, and so was rarely heard from again. But he didn't sell his house, so you always assumed that he'd come back one day. Eventually some strange new guy moved in, claiming he was "house-sitting", and he just became a self-righteous, egotistical jerk. It's not even his house, yet he pretends it is. And he's been there ever since.

Yeah! And your mom was arguing on the internet when she had you! And she lost the argument! And she cried and cried like you, because you were a crying baby! Ahaha!

Think about it.

God I hope so!!

And yes, trance is dying cos the music produced today is absolute shit that will not stand the test of time. In five years time that god awful Air For Life is not gonna get dropped as a 'crowd pleaser' in a set cos no one will remember what the hell track it is. People who love it now will hear it on some compilation they dig up in the future and cringe that they ever liked it.

Today's trance is forgettable bollocks. Piss it off peoples!! Then bloddy ASOT and that A&B crap show will have to discover some decent tunes again.
