lol... on the topic of dave dresden... when they were here last, a mate of mine (who is in his 50's and dutch) says to dresden 'Your surnames Dresden... You must have a bit of German in you??' to which dresden gives him an annoyed look and replies 'I'm an American!!'

Armin played a new G&D remix on ASOT today. Sounded great!

They are chill. Sometimes we all need a break from the super-hard, fast stuff. I can fall asleep to G&D any night. I wouldn't see them live for the same reason however. They don't really evoke any energy from me, and I often think their stuff is boring.

Someone posted music is about creativity. I agree 100%, but I'd say G&D is fairly creative. I have yet to hear a similar sound.

So, to conclude, they have their place in EDM.

by that logic nearly anything can be called chill when compared to something else... i can't think of anything that g&d have done that's chilled other than maybe as the rush comes and serendipity (and maybe arcadia...) Just because something isn't full of driving energy/reach for the lasers synth's doesn't mean it's chill...

chill to me is stuff like the old platipus sound...
