no i dont...i find it is better with lesser known DJs...i am tired of being packed into a club with a bunch of kiddies yelling and screaming and hissing at their fav DJ or throwing vynils at them to spin or sign...not too mention no room to dance...

P.S. I'm glad I didnt pay a dime to get into TiC LA...if I wanted to see a good circus show, I'd check out Cirque Du Soleil...lol

Well Tiesto WINS at least one point here..

He first played it on 05-JUNE-2005 - and Konijn was there in attendance so he can vouch for that one

I had the unpleasant experience up in Scotland - called over to the booth jumped in no problems... chilling out with the management with Tijs' CD wallet in my face... heaven... then the tapping started. One by one, random scottish gimps (sorry sane scottish people!) started attacked me and my friend cos we could "help get a pic mate".

I'm now in Slovakia, where we're happy if 20 people show up... never mind want to take pics.
I've stood with Andrew K and Kasey Taylor, and soon Luke Fair in a VIP booth built for max. 10 people... had a great time. Although that might have something to do with the 40-60% proof Austrian cheap liquer the club owner has on tap for his international guests

Tiesto14 is spot on... the atmosphere at intimate prog nights where the DJ totally brings his shit.. its far better than seeing/hearing 10'000 fans spit out their dummies and wave their arms about to Adagio (again).

WOW WOW...u mean to tell me u dont go to tiesto forums anymore??/??

I am very proud of you man

It took a while for me too to give up on Tiesto (if thats what u mean)...i kept holding on..ask Konijn...but each set got more predictable and mundane that i had to let go...

Tiesto was a good part of my life (98-03) but i honestly could not stand to listen again.....i dont even remember the last set i heard.

Wow kudos to him, but that is one very small point lol...he has a ways to go to make up for his deficit

The difference also being that lawler dropped the track in the middle of a set laden with dark and dirty prog house tunes, so it fit perfect. I doubt Tiesto did the same

Yeah sorry mate, lol. Lawler's set was so dark that night it was pretty scary It made Hugs N' Kisses sound like a happy uplifting track...

well i went to his concert in LA and i had a great fucking time. his mixing is not perfect, but his track selection is good. he didnt even play one of his own songs on new years until like hour 2. anyways, there are more things to being a good dj than beatmatching...

Well I watched that show from the side, and I thought it was one of the worst DJ sets I had ever heard. What was supposed to be "6 hours extended set" was tijs pulling off maybe 3 good transitions, 4 horrible ones, and then a 15 minute break after every 45 minutes of straight DJing. The track selection was all right, but I didnt hear anything really interesting, mostly the normal shit, although he did play The Drill - The Drill, but thats nothing exciting really.

The production was cool, and the atmosphere was crazy, but it was really mostly hype. Also the number of EDM n00bs rolling off their face and just eating up any of the shit he spun was disconcerting to say the least...

this man speaks the truth, listen to him

For me:
Tiesto = POSER that is just in for money ... "In search of sunrise", lol, how retarded and commercial and money driven this has become ... they are not in search of sunrise, they are in search for the pocketmoney of the freckin' chavs who buy the crap!
And Tiesto's overhyped! YAY! Freckin' overhyped! I hate overhyped people. What he has done in the past does NOT CLASSIFY ANYTHING he's doing now!
