This is the first flight I have ever been on, so I know that I wont be sleeping on the plane. I intend to try and sleep in as late as I can tomorrow, and then get up and stay up until the next day.

It'll be rough, but I can't think of a better way.

I personaly dont like planes. Dont underestimate the power of a plane. They take off real quick. It is like sitting in a Vette. The landing will be the only thing to worry about. That is because they jump and bob. First time flying get a window seat if you can. Trust me on this. Planes fly at a 15 degree angle. Planes dont fly flat and that is what fucks with me so I like to look outside, it helps. TAKE GUM WITH YOU AND DONT SHARE IT PERIOD! CHEW CHEW CHEW! You are going to have a blast.

Its true though, make sure you have gum with you - first time flying, the ear pressure could be negligable, or it can be immense. I remember flying back from Miami, there was this chick sitting next to me mid-flight just starts crying from the pain in her ears.

So make sure you have gum! In the absolute worst case scenario if nothing works to relieve pain, what you want to do is get a damp warm/hot cloth and press against your ears repeatedly, it will feel like youre sucking air out of your ears.
