Donkey Kong Country:

I just did not think this level of gameplay and graphics was even possible on SNES. Incredible game, and one that I still pick up and play every so often.

also, what's with all this snes garbage? clearly sega genesis was the best gaming system back in the day.

Amen brotha!!!

Genesis -> SegaCD -> 32x... no comparison in quality... but it was never marketed like Nintendo was.

one of my classic fav's has to be the Bomberman series, its been around since the early Nintendo days 1985.. and is still releasing good versions on PSP, PS2 and Game cube.

of course man. i had both a genesis and snes back in the days

i remember nhl93 on my genesis. i played with the allstar team vs. ottawa with the full 20min periods.. and racked up a game with 90 goals. all i did was use Mario on the faceoff, body check the guy and get the puck... slide down to the goalie and do a fake and score. yea... 90 GOALS BABY!!!! IN ONE GAME!!! MUAHAHHAAHAHAHA IM SO SEXY!

LA is the most annoying because of Gretzky. The fool is 99 or 100, and is impossible to knock down.

wasn't 94 or 93 the yr where you can body check gretzky and give him a bloody nose? with blood all over the ice? classic hockey video gaming!!! hahahahah

Agreed on super mario kart.

Hands down the best video game ever created. Unless you did not have any friends

I am surprised no one mentioned the king of Action adventure games though.

yeah OOT is definately my favourite game for any system after the SNES era.

I was always more into them than the final fantasy series though.
