ok, here is story as i heard it. eric didn't produce it all. retarded & mafia (now known as retarded funk) produced the original bootleg in late 2001 (i think). and they did it as a fun thing but they sent it out to some friends and they liked it and said they should try to release it. so they emailed steve winwood and asked him for permission for using the sample but he declined. so they gave the track out on mp3 instead and when an mp3releasegroup got the hands of it they labeled it Thomas Bangalter & DJ Falcon (aka Together) - Call On Me, mostly because the track really had the same sound & style of "so much love to give".
Next thing you know this track is being spread around the internet like wildfire. and then a vinyl is pressed up from the mp3. the vinyl was credited to bangalter & falcon. it wasn't until 2004 when eric heard about this and decided to help the boys in the retarded funk out and help them get the track released. so he went to m.o.s. with the track and they signed it, and managed to clear the sample. after the clearing of the sample, steve winwood provided new vocals and eric did a touchup of the track to make it sound better and also took away a drop in the buildup that was in the original bootleg. and the funny part is. after the track got big and even tho the original versio is stated as the eric prydz vs. retarded funk original mix. eric managed to gain all credit for the track. even tho he didn't do that much.
