I do also buy some minimal for sure.. I just can't see myself playing it out.
Right...so I was just surprised that you were interested in hearing Ricardo in Mtl when you've said it's not party music for you...that's all.
it's still good to share all kinds of techno in this thread, consideirng most of us are downloading for listening outside of a club environment!

of course people are welcome to post whatever techno sets they feel like... I never suggested otherwise and I encourage people to post links.
If you are surprised I'd be interested in checking out Ricardo here (which I had planned on doing at Mutek anyway), I am equally surprised how you seem to have, on a few occasions, jumped to conclusions concerning my taste in music.

yup.. it's true... classic tune. Not sure if maybe there are new mixes of it out but it is definitely an oldie.

Funny how it's resurfacing then - I've heard it in a recent Beyer mix, this Ricardo one, Barbara's new CD - but I've never heard it outside of the last few months.

huh? You've told me on a few occasions you don't consider minimal to be party music...so I was surprised you said you wanted to check out Ricardo when JF brought his name up.

I'm not going to argue about this but you've obviously taken any past comments I have made about Ricardo, or in this case seemingly minimal in general, out of context. It's true it's not my favourite party music but I have checked out plenty of djs over the years because I was interested in seeing them, not because I necessarily think their music rocks the party... Ricardo is no exception.
If there needs to be further clarification, feel free to msg me since this is starting to take away from the intent of the thread.

Set passed my way
One a me good buddies passed this my way, starts off very "pheekish" and then goes a little "villalobosesque" so of course I love it...loves me some minimal!

My buddies at Paxahau are taking over this year, or at least trying. The event was going to fall through, so they are doing what they can to rescue it. They have very little time to put it together so they need support from all around, plus they need some direction in terms of genres outside of techno and house.
Paxahau never fails though and after this past year's party line-up and their stage there last year in the underground it's bound to be a totally wicked event for sure.
Visit www.paxahau.com to see how you can support or get involved. I'll try to keep everybody updated on the status of the event and I'm doing what I can to stir up some interest outside Detroit.
Thanks!
