Chrono Trigger is a game for the SNES (and was recently ported over to PSX). It is a turn-based Role-Playing-Game that is roughly 45 hours long. Yet the replay value on this game is a 10 on 10 - so you'll spend about 250 hours playing it and still won't get bored of it.
The story starts out with you controlling a character, from the 10th century, named Chrono. He somehow gets teleported back in time to the middle ages and finds that the civilized world is threatend by demons. Chrono's first mission is to make it out alive.
I highly recommend this game to everyone. It, quite frankly, has the best story line ever made for an RPG. It set the bar for RPGs to come.
Gameplay - 10/10
Replay value - 10/10
Graphics - 10/10 (hey, it was really advanced for it's day)
Storyline - 10/10

i would argue that dragon warrior 4 already set that bar before chrono trigger even came around
also, i wouldnt recommend that anyone plays the psx port of it. its slow, has bugs, and it just obnoxious. be hardcore and just buy the cartridge

I have a reciept for my Nintendo.
It came in a package of the console, 2 controllers, Mario Bros & Duck hunt, and the gun. The price was $240. Nowadays I couldn't give away my nintendo.
