Could you repeat the question???
Having read all the replies, I had to read back at the original qn, because surely you couldn't be telling me that you thought Tiesto was the best, were you?
First things first. I voted 'OTHER' .
If the qn asks for who is the best @ present, then Judge Jules would just about get the vote ahead of Timo Maas.
I say Judge Jules because his sets are so f*ckin full of energy! (Just listen to the first 22min of his latest set @ QONTACT) And don't gimme any of that sh*t that he only plays commercial or criticise him in any way because he is the Man of the Moment!
Timo is also unreal! I saw him live the 1 time and I can't wait for more. I know you're not asking for best producers, but when he plays Ubik, it is really what Trance is all about - face it!
If you're askin for the best Dj ever, then my vote will have to go to Sasha. I didn't think I needed to remind anyone, but it looks as if noone mentioned him in whatever dozens of posts. It must be the whole progressive thing that puts the lot of you off - is it?
Well, he rules the world, and this year Ibiza will be his too. Once again, even just his own tracks are quite breathtaking - with Xpander having to be high up there with the best tunes of all time...
A small word on what seems to be your favourites. In my opinion, PvD is possibly the most overrated Dj I've ever seen. As for Tiesto, make no mistake, I absolutely love the 'Tiesto' mix, but it's starting to get to the stage where he has to try something new or he'll never reach the heights of the Oakies, the Sashas etc.
Btw, I think that it's needless to say that the names to choose from in this poll would always have to depend on what genre of music the author prefer => the omission of 4eg. the progressive Dj's.
Anyway, it's not as if he could have put down the names of every Dj, but to be honest, I can't also help but feel that this poll should have given us better choice of Dj's or something because to leave out names like Tony De Vit, Danny Tenaglia , Sander Kleinenberg ETC ETC ETC is a bit ridiculous in my opninion.
Oh well,
HasTa
"Tonite, God is a Dj."
His name is Sasha...

i don't like the music carl cox is playing because its not exactly trance but i gave my vote for him.
