Cool, glad to find someone who shares some the same sentiments about this music. There is definitely something about this music that appeals to your sensory abilities. The stuff I love the most is the dream-like, emotional and melodic, stuff that just takes you away from reality for a while. Like a moment of zen if you will. It's also mostly instrumental so that just makes it even more universal, so people can get different things from the music. They can experience it. There's nothing dogmatic about it, it just gives you this release, that I feel is theraputic and could be used in a spiritual or transpersonal setting. Transpersonal psychology is an area i'm getting into, which explores the relationship between psychology and spirituality and transcendent or mystical experience. Your from Detroit eh? I am too, well Farmington, like 30 or 40 minutes or so away. |
