Here's how I think management justified the price:

Because that's what they want to charge.


Obviously there's a lot of factors that went into deciding the final price, from how much they have to pay the DJ, to how much profit they want to pull in, to overhead costs, and FINALLY (and most importantly imo) what number isn't too low to attract a bunch of fucktards, but not too high to alienate their target market (which isn't the regular club crowd that goes to Guvernment with whistles and glowsticks). I'm 100% sure that the club will be packed and that people will have a good time.

Heheh, the way I see it is this:

Sonic = Steak Dinner with garlic mashed, and greens. Costs a little more, but you are getting a quality meal in the end.

Guvernment = Supersized McDeal Meal. You're getting a big meal at a fantastic price, but it's a little greasy around the edges, and it may cause you to vomit.

That doesn't mean that one is better than the other; just one caters to different needs. Sonic, or the 270 space more specifically, has always been about QUALITY, no matter what the cost. That's not to say that Guv can't give you a good meal; just that it's a little more hit and miss
