Yes your idea has good intentions but this is TA. Any sort of TA poll involving members would just be a popularity contest not an actual "skills" contest.

i meant votes based on the quality of the mix these DJs submit. But i guess it's too hard for TA to pull off.

At the end of it all it doesn't really matter, since all this talk about imaginary DJ or voting for whomever achieves their ultimate goal - which is - to get you to participate and talk about the poll.

TA poll will return as well... I'm just thinking about whether I limit it to registered users only (again) or open it up to everyone.

The latter choice would be more of a headache due to all the fake entries...

i think it's better for registered users.


and yes Danny O.. you won't get ppl to listen to every single dj set given to TA so we can vote for them. I'm sure everyone will want to take part and since ppl won't bother listening they will just pick whoever is 'TA popular' or their friend and so on.


edit- the person who said Tiesto might be #1.. I can see why maybe cuz of the Pirates thing but then again, I can see why not because of him bailing out the Dj Mag party his last year on top.

PvD def won't get it again. I think his was more of a life time achievment award.

just to say i'm not taking part of whatever "lets all vote for this guy" organization you're trying to make this year.

As PVD said it is like comparing apples with bananas, this poll can´t be taken seriously. I'll participate only if there is some joke to show the lack of sense.

Just vote for whoever you like and be done with it... By now I think 90% of the edm community already knows DJ Mag ranking system is solely based on popularity, heck even DJ Mag themselves I bet are aware of that too.

If you don't like that system then don't vote and period. It is not that hard
