I just went two weekends ago, and was going to go yesterday but was 2 hung over, as well as the people I was going to go with lol.
I have some persons season pass though, which looks nothing like me hahaha, and the guys doing some weird ass pose on it, but still works. I'm planning to go a couple times in October, so someone set up a date to go! Either way i'm going, with or without you guys! haha
btw, don't drink 2 huge ass energy drinks at wonderland that they sell, because you were tired, then go on the Vortex after finishing the last one in line, then dropzone right after. my stomach was hurtin, but then it all filtered thur and I was good to go lol

I went last year,( twice: 1st time it rained a few hours in so they gave us free tickets to go again) and it's not scarey. A few times it may have been frightning, but nothing too screamish. The only bad thing is the fact that it's sooo dark, people tend to be VERY pushy and but in line whenever and wherever they feel like it. It got very bad.
EDIT: lines seem longer ( with a longer wait ) and not everything is up and running, but it is worth the while.
