You should of killed it and flogged it to the gypo's for their Christmas dinner.
Maybe the pigeons can smell each other's poop. If their mates have food to poop out, it's worth a look.
Also I have to mention counting 97 seeds the pigeon ate is a little excessive.

We put up a bird house in our backyard about twelve years ago. A couple of birds decided to make it their home. They had kids, and they all flew away to warmer climates during the winter. In spring, their young returned. They hatched another set of kids, and the cycle has been repeating ever since. Kinda cool.

From the day we arrive on the planet
And, blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There's far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round
It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life
It's The Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
THE CIRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFEEEEE!

Same thing happened to us on NYE. At 5PM a white dove sat on our balcony throughout the evening while fireworks went off and kids were playing and screaming - still didnt move. He/She was determined to stay with us until the next day - at about 9:30AM it flew away.
Found something on Google that says white doves are old indian symbolism of peace and good fortune.
Cant complaint if that's the case!
