Yeah, the only sets of Armin I have on my computer which is only like 5 or 6 are pre-2005. I saw him twice last year but I don't believe he played the song in the sets I saw.

Still not tired of what he's putting out as he keeps it interesting to a degree. He has not done anything overly brilliant in the past year but at this stage in his career it's in his best interest to put out as much material as possible whilst comprimising as little quality as possible.
What he's done with old tracks is brilliant, that artic monkeys bootleg gets me going every single time.

I'm not getting tired of him at all, he has some outstanding remixes, plus the I really like the songs from the Purple Haze alias, especially Eden. I can see people criticizing his productions like Loaded, AKA, Dark Roast, Pumpkin, Bling Bling etc. for being too similar but I think they are pretty good. But his recent remixes are what i like best from him. Control Freak, Direct Dizko, SOS, and to a lesser extent his mode hookers remix and Yello - Oh Yeah remix.

I didn't like his essential mix that much but all in all I say keep the new SVD and especially Purple Haze stuff coming.

Oh yeah, I loved his Pump Up the Jam bootleg in his January mix of this year.

The guy definitely has a great sound and style going for him. I suppose, in my opinion, his remixes and productions under the Purple Haze alias are his best!

"Purple Haze": +1

Snader van Doorn's first EM was really very good, his second EM together with Judge Jules wasn't that good.

I like SVD, his productions and remixes are powerful and something new.Hard Style. But indeed I dont like his sets too much, some good ones but some very boring ones. Dont bash him just yet, give him some time... But for me Him and Niklas Harding are the stars of this year!!!

It was rebroadcast of first half of Essential Mix.

Nah not tired of him at all ... I went through all his old Sam Sharp stuff and he's definately kicked it up a notch with his Purple Haze and SvD tracks / remixes.

Regarding him turning into a tech house dj ... well, he did trance under Sam Sharp, and he does tech under Sander Van Doorn. Since his productions are much techier now it's understandable that he's going in that direction. I'm really enjoying it, although I also liked it when Ferry first started dipping into the electro.

The first Sander mix i heard was his Identity february mix and it was bonkers. Lately I haven't been quite as enthused about his mixes not because I think they're any less great, but because i'm used to his style and it doesn't shock/amaze/surprise me any more. There are still killer tracks in each of his mixes ... in fact over the past few months i've been following his tracklistings religiously to find new tracks, artists and labels for my own dj sets. He's definately been the biggest influence on my djing style this year.

(oh and i started a thread in this forum looking for some more mixes by him, if you can help a brother out...!)
