again, not true. You can't just walk right through downtown in any city and not get booked. I know you can't do that in Warsaw or Budapest. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same thing in London.

london is an exception to a lot of things in europe. I guess we take after them.

Warsaw or budapest? Im surprised. Most eastern bloc countries allow it. In bulgaria, macedonia for example it was no problem and i loved it. Same goes for rome, paris and amsterdam.

from personal experience un EU cities..

Public drinking is allowed in,

Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Alghero, Olbia, Berlin (But then again I was there during the WorldCup, I don't think I saw anyone without a drink in their hand.), Prague..

I left out a few islands in EU like Ibiza cuzz we're excluding resorts and tourist attractions right?

I agree. But some people when they drink a lot tend to have to pee every 5 minutes...not enough time for them to finish their drink. I for one have a small bladder and when I'm going downtown drinking, I have to go to the bathroom all the time. I don't drink quickly, so I'm not going to chug my drink just so I can pee.

Thus...the easy solution....have your friend HOLD on to it.

but whats so wrong about allowing people to bring a drink in the washroom in the first place?

Most of the world has allowed it and they are still alive to talk about it. What makes us so special?

but that shouldnt mean that it should be a government law. In fact the government should be in the business of PROTECTING us from those types of lawsuits by changing the courts so that cases like this cant be heard.

you know what solves this problem?

People can just FINISH their drinks before they go relieve their bladder. It's really not that hard to hold yourself for a few minutes while you finish your drink, take a piss, and then go buy another one.

Fucking ONtario...I hate this province sometimes.

the finger printing idea is really stupid and a gross violation of privacy.

Interesting though that alcohol related crime is down by almost half since the 24 hour licencing.

Perhaps we could learn from that?
