I just got mi ticket today the venue is totally walkable from the border (10 or 15 minutes), but you could always use a cab.

i found mexitlan on google earth! its on the other side of the tj river (or waterway) than the border entrance. looks like a little bit of a walk, but that would save a few bucks on a taxi. i definitely would suggest walking in as a big a group as possible just cuz tj is pretty sketch.

So is this venue a club, a mercado, a park? What is it and has anyone (TAs) gone there before?

The EVENT IS NOT SOLD OUT... Pre-Sales are. My understading is that this venue is kinda like a FAIRGROUNDS type of location. I've been told that it's going to be COLD and to bring a warm jacket.
