I've got a Branson Coach House Shiraz stashed away. I'm thinking about opening it soon...

Americans like fruity cheapo wine because americans in general don't have a good appreciation for wine or any really good food for that matter.
Our culture unfortunatly doesn't emphasize the joy of food/wine and sitting around enjoying a nice dinner/supper, such as in France or Spain or Italy.

What do you expect, we were started by the English

As to Budweiser and Miller. I'm a diehard Budweiser fan. I agree its a cheep beer made for mass consumption, but when it comes to cheepo beer, its pretty good. Sure it doesn't compare to alot of european beers and american microbrews, but who cares? Its not in that league. Its just a nice enjoyable all around beer.
Not as big a fan of bud light, unless I'm playing beer pong.
I must also add that my view on this is pretty biased as I am from St. Louis (the home of Anheusr Busch), I own alot of stock in the company and some of the Busch family are friends of ours
But hey, their beer is the best cheap beer out there. And if your out at the store looking for a cheep beer for the night, go Bud and support my stock!
