True. But its based on studies, support. What he's doing is no different than Al Gore. He's read the research, formed an opinion, and it relaying it to the world, same as he. They are both trying to convey their respective points and agendas to us in a way that is easier to assimilate and understand, and/or in a way that will generate more public attention than through just telling ppl to read the actual studies themselves, which wont appeal to laymen as well, or as easily (much harder to read/understand.)
The only difference... they are attempting to prove different viewpoints.
Just bc AL Gore says something doesnt mean it true either. But, as with Crichton, Gore as support and studies and reports backing his opinion which he presents in that report and film An Inconvenient Truth, that the world is so taken with presently.

but you're both very uneducated on the topic, to say something like that.
lol, it's mind boggling...I don't understand how people think they can debate the topic, when there is massive amounts of empirical evidence that's pretty much one sided. |
No, there's almost zero empirical evidence, save for about 40 years' worth of temperature measurements from major metropolitan areas. Most scientists can't even agree on how an average temperature is supposed to be measured, and the only empirical evidence from pre-1960s which isn't extrapolated, the CET, clearly shows massive variations, both cyclical and random, and also shows a temperature trend that has been increasing since the 17th century, long before we had any significant source of CO2 emissions.
What's truly mind-boggling is how some otherwise intelligent people are able to claim that there are massive amounts of empirical evidence when they haven't seen any. Unless you count the consensus of several "climate scientists" (who often only have BAs, and whose very careers depend on continuation of the scare) as evidence.
The evidence is a bunch of people saying that there's evidence. And their evidence is more people saying that there's evidence. It's like a gigantic pyramid scheme, or maybe some sort of loop, without any actual physical evidence involved.
I'd be more concerned about bovine emissions than cars. And it's quite possible that my farts over the past 2-3 weeks have increased the local temperature by a few degrees - but not the global temperature.
