i have a book called "The Truth About Love" (i know, it's gay, but i was a little confused about its meaning myself about a year ago when i bought it). i think everyone should read it. it talks about "being in love" vs. "loving" there's no difference. like, "i love you, but i'm not in love with you"
say the sentence out loud and realize how ridiculous it sounds lol
it would sound better to say, "i love you, but i don't love you the way i used to" or, "i love you, but as a friend, not a lover and companion"
