Go Honda ... right to the end of the grid. They're doing absolutely horrible this year, and there is no excuse for it. Honda has participated in F1 for decades. Worse yet, there is arguing going on inside the team about what is wrong with the car. They can't even get that problem settled. Now I highly respect Honda overall, but the support and hype it's F1 team gets is nowhere near what they deserve. Honda's win last year was based mainly on luck, with a combination of mechanical failures for Alonso and Schumi, and some strange weather.
Renault's problems so far is this year is exactly what I predicted would happen. Briatore's ego was sky high, and this has brought him down back to reality. I knew that the switch to Bridgestone tires would mess up Renault, and that is exactly what happened. The loss of Alonso from the team did not help either.
Also criticism at Toyota is unfounded, and Toyota sure shut up a lot of people thinking they would do bad. Toyota is the only team in over 15 years to have started from nothing in F1. BMW bought Sauber, Honda simply bought BAR, Renault bought Benetton, Mercedes partnered with McLaren. Even Williams, a team I respect, is using Toyota engines.
I hope Ferrari wins both championships this year, as the hype around Mclaren is just ridiculous right now with Hamilton and Alonso. Ferrari winning both championships will be a nice reality check for Alonso, and will kill off the hype around Hamilton. Yes, Hamilton is good, but he's not the second coming of Christ .
