I'm listening to some stuff on acting with Aussie, Cockney irish Italian Scottish and Standard british accents


need I add the fact I got a stupid yank accent and it ain't sexay enough


so english = yank accent
french = french accent


I lack all the sexay out of bilingualism

In german I have a yank/french weird combo accent

Not at all, I guess you've never heard a scouser speak.

Saying that Yanks don't do British accents very well. Only ever Yank I've seen do a good British accent was Johnny Depp in the flim From Hell.

Most of the time you guys attempt one you sound like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins 'Apples Pears alright govener cup o tea'

haha. i have a friend from boston and he hides his accent down here.. then he gets drunk and it shines..

im from pennsylvania.

i have little to no accent, but use a bunch of words a lot of people wouldnt understand because they are dutch or local slang.

you have to understand i live with these people everyday so i dont notice them until my cousins visit or something. talk w/ me on phone? lol


we also phrase things weird sometimes... i remember one instance on vacation where i confused a store owner.

i found a shirt that i liked but the only size was too big so i asked her: "do you have anymore back?"

she looked at the shirt like there was something wrong with it and stared at me blankly.

fyi that means "are there any more of these in the back of your store?"



also, we use weird sentence structure sometimes.
for instance, when you want someone to throw a tshirt down the stairs to you, we would say: "throw me down the stairs a shirt"

yup. as for dutch slang... if i think of some ill post it.
