(hmmm, sounds like some of the people on this board) If your dad is like this, no matter what you do, he probally won't ever understand. How long till you move out of his house? If not long I'd say just humor him for now, but if over a year, I'd try to work something out.

Why don't you explain to him about Christianity all the secrets he doesn't know?

I know a pretty good deal about Christianity, and constantly try to learn more, but I think Christianity is ridiculous, and that Damo's statement is cynical, but true.

Please tell the other side of the argument, as you put it.

You think it may be cynical, and I know it was intended as being cynical, but if you remove all traces of cynicism from that statement you are left with something pretty true... (confusing, I know).

Personally, I think people who won't listen to the other side's arguments are ignorant. Sure, accept your existence... I do too. But what does that have to do with what you're saying? People who believe in religion don't exist? Or they don't believe that they exist?

From a purely logical point of view I find the reasons for God's existence to far outweigh any other possibilities. Because I can reason, I'm ignorant?
