Anyone that, after viewing the preview, expected it to be anything more than an epic, bloody, ridiculous gore fest with extremely exaggerated battles and pointless nudity, deserves to be let down. Some need a reason and purpose, others just take it as it is. No surprise there.

Too bad they couldn't have cast Al Pacino. He gets louder and more over the top in each subsequent movie. "THIS IS SPARTA" could have been his crowning achievement, but sadly we will never know.
