Crowd Interaction is very important, but amazing songs is better. When Junkie XL was at Ultra Spin he spent more time dancing around on the stage than playing good tracks. I was bored out of my skull.

music is definetely the most important, if the DJ is boring me musically I don't care what they are doing charisma wise...

that being said, I do like to see that the DJ is paying attention...Max Graham is one of my favourite dj's, but i remember seeing him at System Soundbar a few years ago and he spent almost the entire time talking and slapping hands with people in the back of the booth, returning only to change the track once in awhile. The music was amazing, as Graham has never let me down musically, but I found it disappointing when I looked up to see him with his back to me yakking away.

I saw him at Ultra Spin 12 this year and he wasn't doing any of that, I enjoyed it much more. I saw Jelo in the Gallery as well, and he was going crazy...mixes were dead on and it pumps me up to see him so into it.
