Hahaha. Mel, take it easy on Jason. He's a great opener. Agreed it was a bit weird hearing Cosmic Gate at a slow BPM, the crowd still enjoyed it. Wasn't at 136pm, it was at 128

And judging by the crowds reaction, it's obvious that the crowd was loving it as well. So I have to disagree to a degree.

Doesnt Edgar V play peak hour stuff when he opens? Kinda the exact opposite for a normal opening DJ imo.

no u obviously never seen him open at space.

he always plays housey dancy stuff.. 30 mins before the headliner goes on he starts with the trance.

his set after the headliner dj ALWAYS blows us away. thats when he does the peak hour banging shit. after 5 am

but 128 is even worse.

everyone has their own taste but hearing trance slow is just horid to my ears.

the crowd enjoying it is a dumb excuse. i was laughing at the 2 ppl in front of me trying to dance BACHATA to house music.

Bachata is a Dominican form of spanish music and it's probably the lowest form of spanish music

We're not in Miami anymore, this is New Yawkkk!

Jason always rips it imo. Gotta admit, this was my least favorite set of his (most favorite was his G&D-opening set), but he does the job of opener, setting up a foundation for the headliner to continue with, better than anyone else (Serge Devant comes a close second though) consistently.

i'd take housey dancey stuff over shirt lifting gay trance bullshit any day.....have you even got a clue what an opening Dj's job is to do..Obviously not...I'm sure if Jason came on and blew the place to pieces with full on top tunes,,Fairy Corsten would be pissed..

As Eco said,,,youre in a real city now so get used to it..If you cant handle it i'll pay for your cab fair back to JFK...Jason is a big favourite of ours and dissing him on these boards is not gonna do you any favours....

i think Jason's choice of tracks are pretty good for the most part. As for him throwing Cosmic Gate at a lower bpm...well im sure that he has done it before and was happy with it...and it is the dj's prerogative to mix and tweak and re-interpret tracks that he has if he thinks the audience will appreciate it. being that I never heard the cosmic gate track till last night, I thought it was siiick

i think its good that his style differs so much from the main trance act...it gives us variety. A nice change in pace.

$25 for a ticket...hrms

very interesting...and so SOON after this show? odd...unless they are trying to promote Ferry with a party every few months?

and isn't this like the SECOND trance act at Cielo ever?

(well i dun think the one LAST yr was really supposed to be open to the public right -- till after a certain time that is)

that being said I hope this is 21+ and hope they are good with crowd control, that place isnt all that big and i Just wonder with the amt of ppl that Ferry brings

hmm wonder if MADE EVENTS will attempt to bring more events to Cielo now

hmm i may pass on Ferry to see Above and Beyond since i haven't seen them since December and left early cuz i got sick...
