As much as it sucks, go through all of the problems for the specific chapters and really go over the review chapters.
Write out rules on a separate piece (or many pieces) of paper and refer to it religiously.
Math was a difficult subject for me. I had to deal with Calc 1, 2, and 3. Also made it through differential equations (I did bomb it one semester) and linear algebra.
My advise. Just work through all problems over and over. You will eventually pick up the patterns and understand the relationships.
I was and still am mathtarded, but I still made it through most with a B (excluding the F the first time I took DiffEQ). |
i did that with calc 1 - example problems and review questions at the end of each chapter....over and over and over again...
calc was such a bitch, but my prof was even worse - multiple choice tests, with E) none of the above as an option....10 questions. miss more than 4? you fail!
the first test i ever failed in my life was calc 1. as i turned it in, i had picked "E" for like 3 of the problems and my professor looked at the bubble sheet and said, "whoa". i immediately turned around and ran out.
practice does make perfect tho....i ended up w/ a C in the class, and nearly aced the final [got like 14/16 on it].
if anything, just retake the class.
i retook calc 1 two years later [after taking calc2,3,4] and aced it - and it replaced my previous C and boosted my GPA a decent amount. i wish i had done that w/ other classes.
