I'm VERY competitive in right about everything.. except my "career" Does that make sense?

in a way, i find it to be a blessing and a curse all at once. i could really do a lot of cool shit if i just put in the effort and did the work. sometimes i feel like i'm being lazy or that i'm settling for being "average" or taking the easy route... but i do have things that i'm passionate about, and i do consider myself a pretty sweet and talented person, so i guess it all balances out.

yea pretty much the same here.

i would much rather let my talent speak for itself in regards to career-wise competition. that way, when you have a nice disposition towards others and you're still "winning" then u really come out on top.

i just don't understand people who see life as one big pissing contest. it's like relax. lol

Hell yea I am. I love the company I currently work for, and I want to move up within it, so I'm all about making great first impressions and working my ass off and beating out everyone else. To move up, I have to be better than everyone else. I like being competitive though, it gives me a lot of energy and motivation. I think it may come from my swimming backround though...

I'm competitive with everything from grades to video games. I got mad when my boyfriend had more time than me and therefor beat Zelda on wii before I did. It's my favorite game, damnit!

I use competition as a way to motivate myself. I'm constantly trying to improve myself and be a better person, and sometimes, the only way I can tell how well I'm doing is by comparing myself to others.

There's nothing wrong with healthy competition. In fact, a little competitive edge goes a long way. The secret is not to waste your time being jealous. Sometimes you're a head, sometimes you're behind. It's a long race, but in the end, it's only with yourself.
