Wow! That's a pretty heavy synth!

BTW, have you finished that tune you first posted a sample of?

The Subtractor is better than the 3xOSC, but the 3xOSC doesn't cost Ģ300.

ok.. a tip from me

how 2 make that cool little minimalistix-backcrash thingy

just take an ordinary crash...

reverse it in an wave editor and cut the 1st part from it.. until its sounds a bit the way u wan it (minimalistix style)

then just resample it, put a lot of reverb on it, and put the pitch up pretty much.. until it sounds good

it isn`t much.. but it gives an nice effect

grtz,

DJ Mantis

Trancevision, your synths are superb. Perhaps if you give everyone a step-by-step guide in producing a sound like you have then we can all learn the steps that you take to produce these beauties.

I am very busy pushing my own productions further on, but I will see what I can do 4 U all. Perhaps someone like Parker or even Airbase could also give some hints

lol!!
I donīt really have any tips ,
just be sure uīve got a nice clean(!) synth sample!
Then use the eq to get the sound u want from it. The eq can make synths sound alot different then the orginal sample.
Then the reverb , I can tweek the reverb for hours til I get it right.Donīt use to much , I usaly put a stereo delay on to emulate a reverb.

I use different effects for almost every sound I use. Eats alot of CPU but itīs worth it.
One other thing that is very important is the envelope , play with it as much as u can. Try different combos with the release/sustain and decay.

When I make basslines I use about 4 bass samples . 3 samples of the same sound but with differnet settings. 1 with some eq and just a pinch(!)of reverb. The other one with a highpass filter on it , just to lift the "highs". And one bass sample reversed (doesnīt work on all samples but sounds very cool when it do work) , the reversed bassline doesnīt play the whole pattern , I offen lets if play 2-3 notes/16:th
The 4:th sample , I offen use a supersaw sample for that, makes the bassline sound more "raw"

I donīt know if this makes any sense but it might give someone some ideas.
