no, that's your assumption.

The problem is that tracks like this, released by huge names gain a wide audience and 'n00bs' inevitably latch on to them because they are easy to understand

Think again, this track already played on the radio, chances are its not gona be released as a single if it comes out in in between. Meaning that most likely every mctrance dj + svd already asked for a whitelable from pvd. And we all know how much mctrance artists like playing unreleased stuff.

And in response to this song being simple. like I always say , A good producer knows that complexity is just a cover up for lack of creativity. Yes this song is very superficial and really lacks the depth our listening hours of edm depend on but maybe that just wasn't paul's goal. This track does what it has to do and does it extremely well. I see a big paul come back and I'm very pleased.

agreed but that intelligent one is the listenable one, a floor track doesn't have to be really inspired imo. just sayin'

FGS there are much more to music, electronic music and yes EDM then mindless tracks which are designed for the special case of stimulating stadiums of drugged-up kids with glowsticks who are near sub-conscious thresholds and can't distinquish one bouncing track from another. Yes Paul van Dyk was one of the founders of trance but that was in Berlin in the beginning of the 90s. There are much more happening right now in music and i'm not fond of old people who by means of using their big stardom names spawn whatever easy stupidity comes to mind and get the big money whereas hundreds of others with x1.000.000 better ideas remain in the shadows only to be evaporated by the cruelty of todays EDM industry (and music industry in general). And FFS people, newbism has its boundaries. These sort of ultra-stupid bouncing tracks have been made thousands of times before. Yes the D-Devils and Lord of Bass are much better then Paul in that matter...! (i don't believe i said that as well).

Play the following game and imagine this specific track not coming from paul van Dyk but from the new unknown paul van bike. Yes you wouldn't even create a thread for this would you?Or even worse...coming from Ian van Dahl. Comments would be "Ian van Dahl has decided to drop the cheesey euro-pop and create some equally stupid cheesey hard-technoy-trance or whatever". Yes, it is amazing how aesthetically biased can you be towards things...especially for those things that you hold a certain attitude.

So...for the love of baby jesus stop swallowing whatever is thrown to you just because it c(u)omes from a "super-star" and support something which really deserves to be supported...don't be the industry's slave.

I don't think Ian Van Dahl or Paul Van Bike would have a track with great mastering and ultrapassed technical aspects , but you do have a strong point that makes me feel kind of guilty.
