Floorfiller, it says on your profile you are 24...and you were into all of these at 4, 5, and 6? I assume you were born in 1983 (or 1982 for that matter). Or are you just referring to the fact you were into 80s music first?

I don't know if you can really define mine in linear terms, or at least by just naming artists, because so much of it happened concurrently.
Essentially, it began when I was very young with 2 Unlimited and other pop dance acts of the time. The music was poppy enough to appeal to me as a child, but the electronic sound influenced me at a very impressionable age. So while I was a kid, most of the pop music I enjoyed was the dancey stuff, even if I never realised.
The moment when I really realised I liked dance music was around 2000, when I took notice of the big anthemic Crasher stuff on the radio. Zombie Nation, Storm, ATB et al. However, I didn't start regularly buying dance music until PPK - ResuRection at the end of 2001. I consumed a huge amount, which gave me tastes in hard dance and house alongside trance. The hard dance lead to The Prodigy, and from there into "old-skool" and also big-beat and "electronica". Since both these umbrella scenes cover a hugely varied and eclectic number of artists, my tastes just went everywhere. By the end of 2004 I was receptive to just about style of electronic music going, and just bought anything highly recommended, regardless.

From my myspace (jus written in 3rd person ):
Da Tilt started listen seriously into music in 1990 when he was 13. Influenced by the UK Top 40 he starts liking electronic music. Biggest influences were labels like XL-Recordings and De-Construction. In 1992 he was goin deeper into the matter when he started to listen to the Steve Mason Experience on BFBS. Steve played mostly Oldskool Hardcore from labels like Suburban Base, Moving Shadow, Production House & Re-Inforced. These times are still a huge influence for Da Tilt nowadays. Da Tilt followed da broken beats until 1996, especially the jungle stuff was the 1 Da Tilt luved. Tunes from that era: Burial, Stamina, Warpdrive, 6 Million Ways To Die, RIP, Some Justice 95, Calling All The People.
The other stuff Da Tilt was much into were the UK-House in the middle of the 90s. Stuff from people like Nush, Tony de Vit, Rollo, Junior Vazquez and labels like AM:PM, Azuli, Blunted Vinyl, Manifesto & Positiva.
1998 was the year of the huge basslines, people called it Speed Garage and Da Tilt luved it.
In 1999 was the year of trance. Tunes like Happiness Happening, Out Of The Blue, Show Me Love & Gouryella. It was such a nice year with lots of emotional stuff. House was still big, especially the stuff which was released on Defected.
From than on Da Tilt was mainly buying Trance & Progressive tunes; in the 21st century trance became more a dutch thing. Labels like In Trance We Trust, Armind, Intuition, Anjunabeats & Somatic Sense released nice uplifting tunes. Top progressive label are Baroque, Renaissance, Forensic & Bedrock (especially in 2001/2002).
In 2004 Da Tilt started to buy techno tunes. Especially the sound from Sweden became his favourite stuff. From that on techno got more & more important, so that nowadays Da Tilt's main style is techno, especially the softer direction of it which is called in some places Neo-Trance. Guys like Guy Gerber, Chaim, Shlomi Aber, David K, Joel Mull, Pär Grindvik, Martin Buttrich & Aril Brikha release one big tune after another. Big respect!
