Everytime i walk out of a building, my glasses fog up. now THAT'S humid.
but it's OK cause i like the summer heat anyways.
by the way, this summer in the states has been really different than previous years.
Texas is totally underwater. san antonio set a record of 3" of rain in like 2 hrs, wichita falls got almost the same. parts of central texas have gotten over 10" of rain in the past 2-3 days because of all the thunderstorms and cloud cover, almost all of texas was in the 70s for temps today. yeah, imagine that!
meanwhile, the southeast conus has been dealing with airmass thunderstorms that are so completely random its impossible to forecast for (and its been like this for like 3 weeks now).
the upper midwest has been relatively pleasant, with just a few days of somewhat hotter/warmer temps.
and the southwest is on fire (although that's really not that atypical). all because of this stagnant synoptic pattern, that even when it does finally move, something replaces it and stays there for another week.
it's crazy. we've definitely received more rain here in shreveport too than last year.
