WOW, so much fuss over one sticky thread, how pathetic.
Right, some history, I closed the whiskers and boomers thread what two years ago odd, it was an ongoing conversation between 8 or so members, members who can easily talk to each other through other means, msn, yahoo, irc etc and i know that those members do use those services to talk to each other, the cali thread was also serving as one massive up your post count thread and that fact was mentioned a few times in the thread.
This was before a lot of the current mods were mods so don't be having a go at them for something that they was not involved in!
Now this random chatting thread in the COR is different to a degree, it has many many more people involved for starters, not just a certain group of friends who are in regular communication with each other via other means, it does not bump up the post count because its in the COR and lastly, its as much a surprise to me to find it a sticky thread, personally i don't see why it needs to be a sticky as its a thread with regular posts.
