That's when I feel like smacking the shit out certain people.

So who's gloating?

just as it pisses the rest of us off that each and every display of police force is automatically categorised as brutality. this incident was of the student's own making, leaving me far less sympathy for him. make no mistake shaolin, ive been in protest lines yelling abuse at police face to face when i felt they went beyond their boundaries. i aint no worshipper but im also intolerant of people being attention-seeking dickheads.

Pretty simple math; listen to the god damn police next time.

.....unless, of course, that secret society member wasn't actually on duty but the secret society pulled a few devious strings and substituted a non-secret society member on the police force with their secret society member to help protect Kerry from any embarrassing questions about their shared secret society to help protect a fellow secret society member on stage, because that particular policeman may not have been truly scheduled for duty that night but knowing that secret society and that incredibly double-secret handshake, he got in to help protect his fellow member who's now a Senator and former Presidential candidate?

I wonder, did you see those policemen give their super duper secret "wink" at Kerry to show they are protecting their fellow brother in need?

thats not what i was sayin u idiot! don't put words into my mouth...all i said was that wat goes on in that place is filthy and disgusting i saw the video

He didn't prove anything about Kerry/cops/censorship, except "be a disruptive, cop-resisting douchebag and suffer the consequences".

would you be outraged if this guy interrupted an event you were hyped about being at??

i bet you were the idiot that said rodney king deserved the beating too right? cmon man this is not the USSAMERICA, how could you be so blinded into thinking that these cops reserve the right to tazer someone for the fun of it? what about that little girl that got tazered and killed !?? is that right, is that justice for you ??

Student Tasered for Armed Madhouse Question to Kerry

by Greg Palast

We warned you: 'Armed Madhouse' is a dangerous book. Yesterday, Andrew Meyers, a University of Florida student was attacked by five cops, zapped with tasers and arrested after demanding that Senator John Kerry answer the question.

Meyers, just released from jail and now facing five years in prison for resisting arrest, held up a copy of the book and began,

Student to John Kerry: "I want to recommend a book to you. It's called 'Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast.' He's the top investigative journalist in America."

Kerry: "I have the book. I've already read it."

Student: "... In this book, it says there were 5 million votes and you won the election. ... How could you concede the election on the day?"

Meyers, a telecommunications student at the Gainesville campus, asked related questions including a query as to why Kerry refused to vote for impeachment. When he passed his alloted one minute mic time, five cops jumped him, threw him to the ground, shot him with taser shockers.

Kerry, true to character, stood immobile.

Now, I've given many talks. And some questioners have taken too long at the mic. But I've never done the Stalin thing of cops and electronic beating to limit the discussion. (Yes, it's true that Randi Rhodes recently threatened me with a taser when I've monopolized the mic in her studio.)

The Washington Post reported only that Meyers was holding a "mysterious yellow book." VERY mysterious.

I would note that enchained student was busted in Alachua County, Florida, where, six years ago, I uncovered massive, systematic and utterly illegal disenfranchisement of Black voters - ordered by Gov. Jeb Bush's office just before the 2000 election. ("Florida's Disappeared Voters," February 2001, The Nation.) Alachua remains under federal scrutiny for its long history of racial bias against Black voters.

I must admit I feel some appreciation for Meyers, especially because, even while he was being shot with untold amps of electricity, until he was handcuffed, he would not let go of his mysterious yellow book, 'Armed Madhouse.'

Hear the update live tonight on the new "Palast Report" on Air America Radio. The Palast Report will now broadcast every Tuesday night, at 9:30pm, on Richard Greene's new weeknight show, "Clout."

And get America's most SHOCKING book, the New York Times bestseller, ARMED MADHOUSE: From Baghdad to New Orleans -- Sordid Secrets and Strange Tales of a White House Gone Wild (Penguin 2007).

Actually, You are the idiot, you simple minded fock! Comparing the Rodney king beating to this?? It obvious you have no idea what true life is all about. King's shit was in no way comparable to this young punk.

nigga please.....

both actions by the police were horrible, but what happened to King was a tragedy. this young punk staged and planned this shit and he got tased. King got the shit beat out of him......

Did the cops beat the shit out of this kid?? No! Did the cops beat the shit out of King?? Fock Yes! both actions should of been handled differently, but please do not compare this fock to King.

Wow. This got outa hand in a hurry. While CTs may call this a terrible act of brute force and what not, it would seem that level-headed folk recognize that this guy kinda asked for it and got what was coming to him. Maybe a wee bit over the top, but then again, maybe not. Maybe he'll think twice next time he decides to act like a total douche.

As did I. But I'm an idiot because I interpreted this statement of yours:

quote:
i think your problem is that you blindly turn your head from the situation and "simply" go by the book and whats regarded as being a "good american" to you.

to entail that you are to directly implying that pkcRAISTLIN is not seeing some larger conspiracy? Well from one idiot to another, a thousand apologies, sir. With so many idiots surrounding you, how shall you work your magic here in the PDD?

Now I may have actually agreed with your prior point that this was excessive force, but I wanted to make sure you were not implying that such "silencing" was performed as a result of some grand secret society conspiracy was about to be exposed by this known prankster pulling a prank which turned badly for him. If you do recall in the full video, he was given time to speak his mind, only after it became obvious that he was there not to demonstrate his "free speech" rights in a private setting but was clearly being a disruptive boob. Tasing may have been inappropriate, but kicking the little shit out and arresting him for his actions were most certainly not.

Perhaps you could agree to that latter point with this poor little idiot? If not, why not?

Aaaaaa, I see, so no matter how stupid and incorrect the laws might be, if the police decides to tell someone to shut up for whatever reason, they must do so, and if they argue about it, then police have the right to use force. That aint no f*cking democracy! Police moved in to arrest the student not because he was causing violence, upheaval or panic or whatever, but because of the question. Thats like controlling speech, "free speech zones" all over again. As I said, I know some TAs on here will be happy to embrace a martial law when it cometh. Have fun when it arrives, and please prepare in advance some cool quotes to justify that too.
