Haha, SOO TRUE!
Personally, I always despised it.

seriously, have any of you guys every been to a club? this shit sounds sick when played on a good system and to be honest its a lot easier to dance to than trance. i like trance much more but electro house lends itself better to dancing in a club envirnment. there are also some really awsome artists out there like justice and mstrkrft(mastercraft) that are starting to appeal to audiences that otherwise would never listen to EDM. a few weeks ago mstrkrft played at a huge music festival in atlanta called echo project. it was mainly a rock band venue but there were some electronic acts. my friend who doesnt even like EDM said that mstrkrft was by far the best show. i personally love the genre.

Justice is 'electro' house now? That's news.
And drop the whole "it good on loud speakers, yah!" argument. That's the whole point of a sound system costing a couple grand, to make music sound wicked cool awesome. And yes, it is easier to dance to, because all it entices from you is stomp-along fun, probably the easiest form of dancing for inebriated club folks with no sense of rhythm.
But let's face facts here, son: there are far better tunes out there than your bog-standard BLATHPTHPPTHPTT PPBBT-HHBTT-TPBBTHPTTTHHHPH stomp-along nonsense. Why support the mediocre?

...because it is really really hard to make a track that sounds good in a club on a massive system. Context has nothing to do with it whatsoever.

I still like Spektrum - Kinda New (Tiefschwarz Remix). And Alter Ego - Rocker. And Infusion - Better World (Wink Interpretation). Those tracks rocked. Haven't heard anything as good as it in a while, though.

True that.
Nowadays Dave Spoon is one of the few that might deserve a mention.
Edit: Regarding Rocker and Kinda New.. Add Bucci Bag to the list, no?

There are some great tunes out there you just have to look for em...
Pryda - Madderferrys...
Shena - Electrosexual - Aston Shuffle Remix
Mark Knight + D.Ramirez - Colombian Soul
Ida Engberg - disco volante (sebastien leger remix)
Bass Kleph - Coup detat (Hook n Sling Remix)
Groove Armada - Get Down (Henrik B Remix)
I do agree, and this comes from an electro house DJ...that 95% of the electro tunes out there, especially on beatport...are absolute 100%-pure garbage "electro-by-numbers" shit.
